The majority of our climbing courses are run on the Southern Sandstone, the hub of South East climbing. Harrison’s Rocks, the UK number one visited crag in the country, is based near Tunbridge Wells, on the border between Kent and Sussex, and offers some of the most beautiful climbing in the country. This is where we run most of our our regional courses.

Rock Climbing Taster Session

Perfect for newbies and fun seekers, our rock climbing taster sessions provide a simple and cheap way to experience the joys of climbing outdoors for the first time.

Introduction to Rock Climbing – 1 Day Course

If you are new to rock climbing, or just want to build on your experience, then this is the course for you.

Introduction to Rock Climbing – 2 Day Course

This in-depth course will allow you to learn all of the skills required to set up on your own. Over the two days, you will learn to safely set up a top-rope and get to grips with the basic principles and ethics of Sandstone rock climbing.

Rock Climbing Birthday Party – Bouldering

A two hour climbing session of low level un-roped-climbing, scrambling and exploration, interspersed with fun games and challenges. Recommended for younger ages.

Cost: £50 for each additional hour if requested

Rock Climbing Birthday Party – Roped Climbing

A fun-filled three hour party, geared towards older children, providing a more challenging adventure. This adrenaline packed rock climbing session is guaranteed to thrill.

Cost: £50 for each additional hour if requested

Schools and Groups – Bouldering

A two hour climbing session of well-structured low level un-roped-climbing, with a focus on technique and movement.

Schools and Groups – Roped Climbing

An in-depth three hour climbing session incorporating rope-work, use of climbing equipment and steeper sustained roped-climbing. This exciting course is ideal for scouts and guides.

Cost: £230 for up to 30 children

Family Days

Bored of the same old family attractions, then why not try something a little more exciting? Kent and Sussex Climbing provides a safe and exhilarating Family Climbing Day, where all members of the family can experience the rush of real Rock-Climbing

Mobile Climbing Wall

Kent & Sussex Climbing have a unique Mobile Climbing Wall. Our Rotating Climbing Wall allows two people to climb simultaneously for as long as they can without the danger of falling from height. The difficulty of the climbing can be adjusted by altering the speed or changing the angle from a gentle incline to an extreme 90° overhang!
Our rotating climbing wall is ideal for schools, scout groups, clubs or trade shows and events.
Our rotating climbing wall even comes with its very own inflatable waterproof building, ensuring that even if the weather is bad, you can carry on climbing!

6 Week Rock Climbing Course

Ideal for the summer months, this course runs over six consecutive weeks, one evening a week for two hours, and covers everything you need to know to be able to safely go at it alone.

Kent and Sussex Climbing offer personal private rock climbing tuition tailored to your individual requirements. You can even hire an rock climbing instructor for the day who will meet you at one of our affiliated indoor rock climbing centres.

Classic Sandstone Walk

A 10 mile round-trip, exploring the majestic sandstone outcrops of the Kent and Sussex borders.
Our experienced and knowledgeable instructors will take you on a whistle-stop tour of the most beautiful Southern Sandstone crags, pausing briefly at each to attempt to ascend some of the most aesthetic rock climbing routes in the south of England.
Finish the day off at Harrison’s Rocks with a relaxing BBQ, provided by the award winning Rare Breed Pig Company and Eridge Park Farm Shop.
The perfect day out for novice and experienced rock climbers alike, or for those just hoping to get a taste of the beauty of the Southern Sandstone.
